Head and Figure Drawing essentials
We will learn the standard proportions of the head and figure by exploring the Loomis method and by using the Asaro head and multiple photo references.
I will teach you a simple way to see values and how to convey them to achieve a dramatic and realistic look. I will show you the different ways to approach figure drawing so your renderings will be more realistic and convincing.
I will be using a traditional, classical approach. This will give you the basic understanding and confidence to approach a portrait or figure from life or from photo references.
References provided, some featuring nude poses. No live model in this class.
This is a 6 to 8-week class, depending on scheduling.

Ruth, First, I want to tell you how much I am enjoying your drawing class! I also appreciate all of the great info you include in your follow-up emails. I am sincere in saying that I have learned more about drawing in your first class than I did in any of my college drawing classes! You have given me a firm foundation for all of my future drawing! - JI
